Take part in the launch of INCITE

The European Innovation Centre for Industrial Transformation and Emissions (INCITE) is a one-of-a-kind initiative that will accelerate the implementation of clean industrial technologies, while contributing to a circular and more competitive industry in Europe.

The innovation centre is a key element of the new Industrial Emissions Directive, and adds a forward-looking mechanism to the Sevilla process. It will be set up in Seville (Spain), and launched in an interactive event next 21 June together with industry, innovators, financiers, environmental NGOs, think-tanks, Member States and EU officials.

Check out our programme below and register to join us in Seville or remotely (web-streaming) for the launch.

INCITE is created to systematically scan the horizon, gathering worldwide information on innovative industrial environmental techniques which, if they are deemed ready for use at an industrial scale, provide significant environmental benefits and are cost-effective, could be incorporated in the Sevilla Process for the development of environmental norms.

It will become a collaborative platform, bringing together industry, technology providers, Member States, financial institutions, private investors, the general public, academia as well as the European Commission, creating unique benefits and opportunities while promoting the uptake of innovative technologies to accelerate energy efficiency, circular economy, depollution and decarbonisation in industry.

INCITE aims to become the EU’s central point of reference for identifying and evaluating the environmental performance of cutting-edge industrial technologies in Europe and beyond, and for informing on related policy development and investments.
